We have sent out an update that fixes the problem. Ad-hoc tasks can be created again at future dates without any problems.
Users cannot currently create ad-hoc tasks for the next day (or later dates) if the time they choose for the task is earlier than the time on the current date. We have planned an update for tomorrow morning which will solve the problem, and will keep you updated on an ongoing basis.
